“Manual Run Only” as a Trigger

We love hearing about interesting new customer use cases! A few customers wanted to create a series of run-books in GorillaStack and use the service as an interface from which to kick off pre-configured automation rules. However we couldn’t support this because all of our rules required a trigger and there was no way to stop the activation of a trigger on its activation.

So we are happy to announce the simple, yet powerful ‘Manual Run Only’ trigger. Two compelling use cases:

  • Turn off environments automatically, but force developers to start up manually when required
  • Execute lambda functions manually – ofter a clean front end for cases where non-technical operations staff may have jobs/reports/activities to kick off on demand
